What is included in my rent payment?

HouseMates tenants really do benefit from excellent value for money. Renting a small apartment would normally cost over £600+ per month, and that’s before even thinking about paying any other bills. At HouseMates, we have rooms to fit everyone’s budget, and all the bills are included in the rent! You pay a single monthly amount to cover all of the following:

Gas / Electricity
Water
Council Tax
Broadband and TV
Weekly Cleaners
Repairs and Maintenance
On-Call Staff

Do I need to pay a deposit?

Yes – just as you would with any other rented property, you will pay a deposit a months’ rent before moving into a HouseMates house, unless otherwise specified. This is simply to cover the cost of any accidental damage caused to the property or its contents during your tenancy. Your deposit will be returned to you within 10 working days after you leave HouseMates . We do not charge any Admin and Referencing Fees. Your deposit will be registered with mydeposit.com. By law your deposit must be protected within 30 days of you paying it.
